The Lucky One

Above are some pictures of my process for illustrating “The Lucky One”. First I did a little scribble in pencil which I scan onto my computer.

Then I take scan and I draw on top of it in Adobe Photoshop until I’m satisfied. Once the idea is finished I print it out and transfer the image onto the block of linoleum and begin carving with my Flexcut tools.

Once I’m done carving the block, it’s ready for me to roll on the ink, paper, and print with a trusted wooden spoon! After I’ve done a run of 20 or so and they’ve dried, I trim the edges and edition them.
